St. Louis — Today, nurse and fourth-generation Missourian Trudy Busch Valentine’s campaign for U.S. Senate announced it has been endorsed by the National Education Association (NEA) representing over 32,000 members in Missouri.

“We are proud to endorse Trudy Busch Valentine for U.S. Senate,” said Missouri NEA President Phil Murray. “Trudy has demonstrated that she will work in partnership with parents, teachers, and the community to ensure students, regardless of zip code, have the support, tools, and time to learn. Trudy exemplifies the values of MNEA through her commitment to democracy, equity, dignity, and respect for all people. We look forward to helping elect a nurse, mother, grandmother, and fourth-generation Missourian to the U.S. Senate who will put Missouri students in our neighborhood public schools first.”

“I am deeply honored that our campaign for U.S. Senate has received the endorsement of the National Education Association,” said Trudy Busch Valentine. “There are so many people – from teachers to cooks to bus drivers to librarians to counselors – who play such an important role in helping our kids learn, think, and prepare for bright futures. I’m so grateful for the work education professionals across the state do every day to go above and beyond in the face of unprecedented challenges. In the U.S. Senate, I will be a fierce advocate for everyone with a hand in our childrens’ education and will always fight to make sure they have the resources and tools they need to do their jobs in providing quality education to every child.”
